The paradigm shift in lighting technology is in full swing – the future, even for industry, is in LED technology, as no other lighting technology uses the input of electrical energy so efficiently and has such a long service life.

The service life of LEDs alone – up to 100,000 hours – is many times greater than that of conventional light sources. This exponentially increases maintenance-free time. Especially when combined with maintenance-free lighting designs, operation and maintenance costs are minimal.

High-performance diodes provide excellent luminous efficacy at up to 180 lm/W, the LED is almost ten times more efficient than a normal halogen lamp. LED luminaires are also experts in energy saving. This means that slightly higher acquisition costs will be written off after a few years.

LED luminaires improve safety by not leaving anyone standing suddenly in the dark. They gradually lose their luminescence and therefore do not suddenly fail completely.

LED technology is ideal for use in extreme temperatures, in particular because of its high vibration resistance, which means that it is particularly suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. It is also characterised by low heat build-up and can therefore be used at temperatures of -60 °C to 70 °C. In addition, the luminous intensity can be controlled according to the ambient brightness.

Depending on the requirements, the 8150 control box can be combined individually and has many outstanding features, such as the option of being equipped with up to four contact elements in a single actuator. Another special feature is the LED pilot light, the colour of which is determined by the interchangeable spherical cap directly on the cover. In addition to all this, the ammeter and voltmeter can be used at an ambient temperature between -40°C and +70°C.

The components can be configured at different levels inside. The new design allows all contact elements, individual lamps and control elements, in addition to the control switch, to be installed directly inside the enclosure cover, thus freeing up the interior space of the enclosure.

Local control stations are available in different case sizes and materials, such as stainless steel and fiberglass reinforced polyester resin. On request, we can also equip it with an electro-polished surface finish, which is particularly advantageous for applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

The robust enclosures are suitable for use in all climatic conditions and extreme temperature ranges. The built-in components and the international certification standards they comply with guarantee their usability throughout the world”.

The R. STAHL 8250 Series is certified for universal use as a terminal box or local control station. Available in various sizes and with many equipment options, it is perfect for any application. And thanks to our fast production line, we are able to quickly meet all orders of any volume.

These Ex certified enclosures are suitable for use in gas and dust environments and are perfect for use in Zone 1, 2, 21, 22 environments. They are seawater resistant and come with hinges that can also be fixed to the sides. Customizable hinges can be added later. The surfaces are protected with RAL7035 powder paint. The enclosures can withstand a temperature range of -60 °C to +70 °C. With an IP 66 degree of protection, they are the perfect choice for marine, pharmaceutical, oil and gas and many other applications.
